Avoiding the headaches associated with managing a physical inventory, filling and shipping orders can make a huge difference in the amount of time you have available to spend on other aspects of your business. By now you may be realizing that there are many more things you’ll have to concern yourself with than you originally realized.

Don’t let this discourage you; yes there are many things that will require your time and effort in the operation of any business but, you are going to be in the position of being able to get online help to accomplish some these tasks, something not as easily done with a B&M business without hiring physical bodies. I’ll get to this subject later but, for now, let’s continue to look at selling information products.

I covered some of the advantages of selling information products in my last blog dated March 30th – let’s take a closer look.

Info-Products
•    When your business is starting up, you are able to produce info-products as you receive orders; you don’t have to keep stock on a shelf. If you are sending your customers digital downloads, you will have no physical product to control.
•    You have electronic files on your computer which you have to manage to ensure that they are backed up, that they are not subject to corruption from hackers (you use a product like McAfee or Symantec to guard your computer.
•    You can devote more of your time to the development and writing of new products.
•    You can make a change or addition to any one of your products anytime without having to go to an outside supplier.*
* This touches on the topic of who manages your electronic files and your website and this is a subject I’ll address another time

I’ll continue with more on info-products tomorrow.
